Gorgons
Gorgons are hideous creatures with snakes for hair and can turn any mortal man to stone.
In Roman mythology, there are three Gorgons, all sisters; Medusa, Euryale, and Sthenno.
Out of the three, sisters, Medusa is the only one that can be killed. The other two are immortal.
They are the children of Ceto and Phorcys.
Gorgons are the guards of the underworld.
Gorgon are covered with impenetrable scales, hands of brass, and they had a forked tongue.
A stone head or drawing of a Gorgon were put on temples or gravestones to ward off bad spirits.
They live in the ultimate west, near the ocean where the entrance of the underworld is.
